Campaign Update: June Week 2

Updated: Jun 11

It’s been a busy and exciting few weeks on the campaign trail! I wanted to share some recent highlights and behind-the-scenes moments as Carson continues to meet people and build momentum.

We attended an event on June 2nd hosted by the Fulton County GOP, where Police Chief Kenneth DeSimone spoke about public safety and the challenges facing law enforcement today. The event, held at McDaniel’s QN2 BBQ (highly recommend the mac and cheese and baked beans), brought together a great group of elected officials, candidates for several seats across Georgia, retired police officers, and engaged neighbors. We’re grateful to the organizers for hosting such an informative and welcoming event. Carson firmly believes in strengthening public safety and looks forward to earning the opportunity to help solve the challenges facing law enforcement.

Carson and I had a great time at Food That Rocks on June 5th in Sandy Springs, where we enjoyed mouthwatering dishes from a wide variety of local restaurants. It was a wonderful evening spent connecting with neighbors and celebrating the vast culinary scene we are lucky to have here — we walked away with a long list of new spots we need to try! On June 11th, Carson participated in a campaign photo shoot. You’d be surprised at how many people shy away from photos so the support he had from participating supporters, friends, colleagues, and businesses really meant a lot. With that behind us, we are prepared to ramp up additional campaign efforts soon and will be prepared to launch campaign advertising at the right time.

Behind the scenes, Carson has also been hard at work meeting people around the district and making fundraising calls ahead of the June 30th campaign finance reporting deadline. He has enjoyed connecting with friends and family and meeting new people here in the community and hearing about the issues important to them. Asking for monetary support, especially on your own behalf, is never easy. We’ve talked about how it can be uncomfortable and sometimes challenging, but Carson keeps the people of this district at the forefront of his mind with every call. He knows this campaign is about them, not about him — and that knowledge keeps him pushing forward.

Carson truly loves his community and is determined to make it even stronger.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign so far — whether by taking a phone call, subscribing to campaign updates, or offering monetary support. Every action makes a difference and helps us move this campaign forward.

Let's keep in touch!
